Swipe Telecom has just launched some very affordable tablets in the Indian market. One of them is a 3D tablet! That is a first for the Indian Tablet market. There are three different variants – the Float, Holo and 3D Life.

New: Nimbuzz for Java phones gets access to N-World and message delivery notifications

The latest Nimbuzz update for Java enabled featurephones comes with a great set of features that will enable you to get more out of your phone. You can get the new version from Nimbuzz.com.

NEW: Nimbuzz for Java with invisible mode, faster login & less data consumption!

We are happy to let you know that a new version of Nimbuzz (1.9.2) is ready for download on your Java enabled mobile phone.

The new version is packed with useful features that will help you manage better your online presence.

Here are the new features:

  • Invisible mode – to appear invisible to your Nimbuzz contacts while you are actually online.
  • New Notifiable icon - for contacts that have the app closed but are available via push notification or Ping.
  • Mandatory phone number verification for chat-rooms
  • Faster login
  • Less data consumption We expect that on average you will consume 50% less data, and depending on how you use Nimbuzz, this could get save you an amazing 70% in data used.

Now let’s talk a bit more about the new features:

The Notifiable icon is the one with a check mark in the middle stands for Notifiable and it is used only for Nimbuzz contacts that closed Nimbuzz app but can still receive push (on the iPhone)  or  Ping notifications (on the Java and Symbian phones).

To improve your chatting experience we made it mandatory for everybody to have a verified phone number in order to access the chat rooms. This way we can restrict access to anyone who floods or post inappropriate content.

We also fixed the connectivity issues you have reported and the bugs you found.

Update: Nimbuzz 1.3.5 for BlackBerry

Good news, we have released Nimbuzz 1.3.5 for the BlackBery owners out there.

The new update brings a few small but useful features to improve your overall experience. Here is what’s new:

  • Last time online: when opening a new chat with a Nimbuzz offline contact you will see next to their name the date when they were last seen online
  • Fixed the empty contact list issue

World First: Nimbuzz Brings Push Notifications to Nokia Smartphones

World premiere everyone: Introducing Push Notifications for Nokia smartphones via Nimbuzz Ping!

Nokia users can finally enjoy a feature that up until now was reserved exclusively to iPhone users. Nimbuzz Ping let’s you receive free SMS notifications when Nimbuzz friends are trying to connect with you. With Nimbuzz Ping you will appear online to your friends even if you have Nimbuzz turned off on your mobile phone.

We are launching this feature with Telkomsel in Indonesia with more operators in India coming soon. If you would like to be notified when Nimbuzz Ping will be available with your operator sign-up here.

Our friends from GigaOm and Into Mobile stated it is a “smart move on the part of Nimbuzz“, and they “could easily see this flying“.

In addition to Push Notifications, the new update comes with a highly requested feature: Ignore Users in Chat-Rooms and a redesigned main menu.

Nimbuzz PC update: now with Facebook Connect

Hey guys there is a new update for Nimbuzz PC and you can get it from here.

The most important addition to this version is Facebook Connect.

What does this mean for you?

  • Eliminates disconnect errors
  • Improves security of your Facebook data
  • View the status message of your Facebook friends
  • Use your custom Facebook username to login – instead of your email address (more on Custom usernames)

What you need to remember?

Once you have installed the new Nimbuzz PC please go to Tools->Options->Communities and reconnect to Facebook to see all your friends online!
