61% of you prefer Chatting on Nimbuzz

October 5th, 2009

blog-poll

The results are out on the poll, which Nimbuzz service you use the most? We would like to thank all of you for participating in the poll.

The poll indicates that 61% of you use Chat service the most. The VOIP service came second at 31% preferred usage. Geo Presence and other services are the most used for only 4% and 2% respectively.

The dominance of Chat in our poll can be attributed to the fact that with Nimbuzz you get connected on Gtalk, Orkut, Facebook, Yahoo and many other IM services and social Networks.

What we found very interesting is that, VoIP is the second most preferred service on Nimbuzz in spite of it not being available on Mobiles in India. Which means that a lot of are also using Nimbuzz on your PCs and enjoying the benefit of VoIP.

It is heartening to see that 4% find Geo Presence service the most valuable. We will be interested in knowing more about your experience with the same.

Similarly 3% have preferred the other services of Nimbuzz’s, such as Image Sharing, Buzz, and Voice Message. These other services are very functional in today’s constantly on the move lifestyle, such as Image sharing, where you can click image directly from your mobile and send it to your contacts online or offline through Nimbuzz across your social networks. Whereas with Buzz, you can buzz your offline contacts and inform them that you are online, which they will receive in real time on their mobile. We salute you for being ahead of the curve.

The popularity of Nimbuzz mobile over and above our other access options is not surprising as recent figures show a very high growth in mobile users. There are many factors that are present in the market acting as a driving force to the mobile adoption market, including sachet based VAS facilities in India available with Reliance Communication (RCom), and the Aircel Pocket internet.

However Nimbuzz Desktop, our second most used client, is obviously preferred by some of the 403.66 million Indian wireless users, second only to China that has more than 600 million wireless subscribers according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India figures, revealed in June 2009. The figures also highlight the growth in wireless of more than 90 percent in less than 4 years to 771 million by 2013.
