31% of you spend in between Rs 50 – 100 per month on GPRS usage

How much do you spend per month on GPRS usage

Its Blog Poll results day again, and the “million dollar question” this time was, “How much you spend per month on GPRS usage?” The results were pretty evenly spread out; however the highest votes (31%) went to the category spending between Rs 50 and 100.

The results also reveal that 21 % of you spend Rs 101 to Rs 200 on GPRS usage per month, making it the second most used GPRS category. Significantly, a good 18% of you are spending above Rs 401 and above on GPRS usage per month, which is the highest range of data usage per month. This data usage is very similar to the lowest data usage category of below Rs 50 comprising of 19 % of the total votes.

Only 11% spend between Rs 201 and Rs 400, which makes it the least preferred range of GPRS usage.

Samsung Launches Corby Pop C3510 in India

Here is another handset from Samsung in the Corby series and this one for the “touch” lovers. It answers to the name of Corby Pop C3510 in India

The features include a 2.8-inch capacitive Touchscreen with resolution of 240×320 pixels, GPRS and EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera,  USB, audio and video player, stereo FM radio with RDS, 30 MB internal memory, expandable up to 8 GB and so on.

Samsung Corby Speed with free Broadband internet in India

A week back, Samsung Mobile launched the CDMA version of its popular phone Samsung Corby called Samsung Corby Speed. This handset is being promoted as “Mobile Phone with Broadband”.

Samsung has also tied up with major Indian CDMA operators including Reliance Communications, MTS India and TATA Indicom to promote this handset by providing free internet usage.

Uninor starts mobile services in India

Yesterday, Uninor, a collaboration between realty giant Unitech’s telecom arm and Norway-based Telenor Group entered the already crowded and the fast growing Indian telecom industry. They have announced the launch of GSM services in seven circles.

The company has introduced two tariff plans:

1. Local calls at 29 paisa a minute
2. STD (national long distance) calls at 49 paisa a minute
