Update! Nimbuzz for Blackberry gets message delivery notifications

Good news for all you BB users out there: there is a new Nimbuzz version available for download and you can get from Nimbuzz.com.

The new Nimbuzz 1.3.7 for Blackberry comes with a very useful feature: message delivery notifications. This will display:

  • 1 check mark (✓) when your message was successfully delivered to the Nimbuzz servers
  • 2 check marks(✓✓) when your message was successfully delivered to the person you are chatting with. Please note this does not indicate that your chat was read by the other person but only delivered.

On top of this we also added a very useful shortcut which will make your Nimbuzzing experience much better :D .  For fast scrolling: hold “Alt” key while browsing up and down in the contact list for fast scrolling.

Lastly, we will be thrilled to find out that the new version is fully compatible with BlackBerry devices running on the new OS7. This means that you will be able to run Nimbuzz on  BlackBerryR TorchT 9810/9850/9860, BlackBerryR BoldT 9900/9930 and BlackBerryR CurveT 9350/9360/9370.

We hope you will enjoy the new features and if you have any questions or suggestions please let us know.

  5. Pity it’s not like BBM, there it shows when it was read, but nimbuzz only tells you with 2 checks that it was delivered. Still it’s a cool program, I think I will get it for my BB.

  7. @faiz, we also wish so, but blackberry as a platform does not support calling facility.
