hiiii i m using micromax q7 today i m download nimbuzz 1.7 from site and them when load this then this shows “retriving avaliable languages”and then show connection failed
when i download selected phone is LG KE 970,before i m using 1.5 vers. that works properly today is shows connection failed my network is airtel – mobile office and connection type http

Nimbuzz / opera/ snaptu doesn’t works in micromax cube. tried several settings for vodafone gprs Delhi. All possible combination, but nothing helps. Internet working fine.
If anyone knows how to install/ settings for vodafone delhi, please share

@harish, you need to goto the Applications folder in you mobile and then goto Java section. Under there select the profile > Sim1/ Sim2 and scroll below to select the internet connection for each sim.

@shahnawaz, thanks for your post.
I do not get any option for SIM1/SIM2, might be because i am using single sim at this time.
Also have tried selecting all the options for internet connection.
Internet browser works fine, but applications in Java do not work/ fails to connect to internet.
If there is any option/setting i might be missing, please update.

Hi,

I’m using Micromax Q5. This phone has pre-installed Nimbuzz v 1.5.0. But while using this version of Nimbuzz, the phone gets in hanged. So I decided to upgrade Nimbuzz to latest version. So I downloaded the latest Nimbuzz.Jar and .Jad files from Nimbuzz.com.

When I ran the .jad file, after progress bar goes to 5%, it shows message as “Default game can not be updated”

I tried running the .jar file too. but for this it shows the same message when the progress bar reaches to 52%.

I also tried to install the jar and jad file by renaming both the files. But no success.

Can you please solve this?

I’m using TATA DOCOMO SIM in Maharashtra circle.

@nitinkumar, Since Nimbuzz is already pre-installed on that device, can you download Nimbuzz from get.nimbuzz.com and save it on your device with a different name like Nimbuzz2 when the installation is finished you will have 2 nimbuzz icons, if you use the latest one, it should work. let us know

Can someone help me how to activate GPRS on my Micromax x550 mobile, i’m trying to get the settings from both of my service providers Airtel and Vodafone Bangalore, but none of them are successfull to send me the settings they are saying that my mobile is not compatible for that and the technical specifications says it is GPRS enable.

Thanks for your reply. I’m able to install latest version of Nimbuzz 1.7.2 on my Micromax Q5.

But the problem is still there. I’m able to login to Nimbuzz. But after chatting for 2-3 mins, Nimbuzz hangs. To specify exactly when I enter text in phone editor and clik on Ok to enter it, it stays like that only. It displys the entered text and then nothing works. Neither the Cancel button nor the Options button. I’ve to terminate Nimbuzz and start it again.

This happens everytime. Can you please help me to solve this issue. I’m using TATA DOCOMO SIM in Maharashtra circle.

@nitin, Maybe if you try deleting some unwanted stuff from your phone memory, that may help.

Micromax Q5 has 15 MB on board memory. Out of which 12 MB memory is FREE. I have a 4 GB memory card (which also has 3 GB memory space free) and use it to install/ save anything. I stictly prohibit myself from using Phone Memory.

Do you still want me to delete unwanted stuff?

after changing permissions (all allow, changed from Session) my snaptu works but …. Nimbuz doesn’t work

& every time i have to change that permission to start snaptu …… how to start nimbuzz

Hi Nitin, Can you please check if the latest version of Nimbuzz is actually installed on the phone or not.

Goto Applications>Java>Nimbuzz>options>details and check the version installed.

@shahnawaz thanks for your reply. I’ve tried it on V1.5.0 and v1.7.2. Both the versions have the same problem.

And I’m not the only one who is facing this problem. All the Q5 fb owners are not able to use Nimbuzz… Don’t you people test it before releasing?

Do something to resolve this issue.

@Abhay,

You can’t upgrade a Java application that is pre-installed. The only solution to your problem is to change the Midlet name in the .jar file

To change the Midlet name in the .jar file you must first extract the MANIFEST.MF file that is located inside the META-INF folder. Edit the Midlet name with the some other name like Nimbuzz2 and then repack the edited file to the .jar file. You can use winrar to do this.

I’ve done the same thing while installing latest version of Nimbuzz.

@viswanath, which Nimbuzz version are you using? Try 1.8.3. I’ve checked V1.5.0 on that mobile and it worked properly. Let me know if you still have any issues.

Guys,

This is about the issue newer than V1.7 of nimbuzz.
I am using Micromax Q7 and getting issue with newer versions of nimbuzz as described above.
Issue:
1. Install Nimbuzz..
2. Launch nimbuzz application with the help of after install prompt to launch.
3. It works.

BUT

4. If logout from nimbuzz, it doesn’t allow me to login , says “Syncing Contact list” and then gets disconnected.
5. I downloaded this software already against varius java phone models’ but no luck..

Hope you understood the issue…and will try to resolve it asap..

1. I cant see who is online.
2. I get a white screen below my username when i login. 3.if i click on blank screen, i get to see the person whose is online on top.
4. I dont get Options or any Menu either….. Help !!

it’s simple to use opera , snaptv n nibuzz….
but you gt proble in nimbuzz, that is conection fail.
but dear you have to do is putting ur sim (in which net pack is)in sim 1 , always n check ur network settings n data connection settings.
plz in first time connection avoid usin aircel sim as its net is badaly slow. you get the error of conection fail.
once u get start with some other sim u can also use aircel netwok….
but plz operate other network for atleast first five times.

bt the thing is using aircel at the time of first connection u get error of conection fail due to low net.
