Uninor starts mobile services in India

Yesterday, Uninor, a collaboration between realty giant Unitech’s telecom arm and Norway-based Telenor Group entered the already crowded and the fast growing Indian telecom industry. They have announced the launch of GSM services in seven circles.

The company has introduced two tariff plans:

1. Local calls at 29 paisa a minute
2. STD (national long distance) calls at 49 paisa a minute

The seven circles that Uninor announced the launch of GSM services are Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh East, Uttar Pradesh West and Bihar (including Jharkhand).

  2. No not really.. I m on tata docomo. Network is really good. And i m on the 1p per 2sec local and 1p/s s.t.d tariff plan. I dont see any spl reason to jump to uninor
