Calling all Airtel Prepaid customers!! Here is another reason for you to rejoice. Airtel Net-on-Phone is now active again.

For all those who use Internet on Mobile for just surfing and browsing, Airtel Net on Phone Plan is available again.

To Activate:
You can get Net-on-Phone activated by typing NOP and sending an SMS to 52567
Direct code *567*2#

To Deactivate:
Direct code *567*3#

What are the charges for usage?

And here is the minimum you will have to shell out. For 30 days of unlimited surfing and browsing on your phone, you will have to pay Rs 99 only, while the same for a 7 day period would loosen your purse strings by a meager Rs 30. The downloading of data however, will be as per content.

I was a one-time user of Airtel NOP but found it too restrictive in that I couldn’t access email accounts, download apps etc. I’ve switched over to Mobile Office for prepaid and and am using the 95 Plan since I find that to be good value for money. Re. Nimbuzz, I’m yet to try it out since I’m still checking out fring which I got to first since it came first in alphabetical order in the the Ovi store:-)

  5. NOP SERVICE OF AIRTEL JST SUCKS IT DOES NOTHNG EXEPT CHARGING MONEY WE CANT EVEN ACCESS NY WEBSITE WITH IT . Ther is alws a no get way to reply. But mobile office is best . Its 95 rupees voucher is awsom.I get 100 mb free on that and it also dnt charge any extra in roaming also

  6. Nimbuzz doesnt works with airtels nop.
    nop is just for opening wap sites.it doesnt allows u to check emails nor any messenger works with this connection :-(

  7. Does Nimbuzz Works on Airtel NOP now?
    Because it didnt work when i tried earlier…..
    Plz do answer…..If it works than it will same me a lot of money…..because i use nimbuzz very much for VOIP calls. Nimbuzz is exceptional!!!!

  8. Hi does anyone use nimbuzz in kolkata with vodafon.I use Nokia E51 and i just cannot connect to Nimbuzz with it . Is there any other connection which i can use to log in to Nimbuzz

  9. @entrapment, you can try connecting to Nimbuzz by downloading the GPRS settings and selecting GPRS as the Access point.

  10. @shahnawaz, i have tried to connect to Nimbuzz with Vodafone live and Vodafone Mobile Connect but it just shows connecting . How do i download the GPRS setting and select the setting as my access point

  11. tata docomo internet plan best.. for 15 easy recharge it gves 20mb download surfng.. tis is best for some1 realy uses nimbuzz and dnt want to download..

  12. there s also 1 mth plan availble in docomo.. guyz.. nimbuzz is no.1.. its better than fring.. fring graphics.programing color etc are nt bettr than nimbuzz.. nimbuz alows free call to any users online on yahoo/nimbuz etc.. its a ful ratd software.. vote it..

  13. i have been using nimbuzz for quite a time and it is really a great app… I use a nokia 5800xm and it works really fine…… But i updated nimbuzz a few days while and after that update facebook contacts take almost 20 minutes to show up…. I use airtel 395 unlimited plan as i do loads of downloading……….. The problem is not only with me but also with a friend of mine who uses an e75……..

  14. @ Shadow: I also am being charged for browsing, despite being subscribed to the Rs99 unlimited NOP service.

    Does anyone know why this is happening? I can access all sites, no problem, but if I’m subscribed to the service, why does it keep charging every time I browse?

  15. There is a problem with it plz chk ur phn setting may be the access point is airtel live thats why may be
    If the problem persists jst deactivate it nd swith to 95 rs unlimited night time internet plan its speed is faster than nop and nt charges extra in the roaming
    I checked that and there is no excess charge for browsing
