This each and every Q3 has the problem… and finally I found that we can update our mobile in nearest service centre… But the sick is, in thier service centre itself they don’t know how to do this and also not having any updates with them… I’m gonna wait until this week after that there is no response i’m gonna sue this Micromax… My cell no: 9043709980

These issues are not from the handset manufacturer’s end or from Nimbuzz rather its the operator specific Mobile Internet settings that has been configured on your mobile phone.

Please find below the details:

Aircel:

The Nimbuzz IP address is now in process of getting white listed on Aircel network and soon Nimbuzz should start connecting from Aircel Pocket Internet as well. However let us know which Aircel Circle you are from so that we can investigate the same with Aircel Pocket Internet team and get it done ASAP.

In the mean time if you are still facing problem on Aircel Pocket Internet, you can use Aircel GPRS. To get the settings for Aircel GPRS please call your Aircel Call center. If the problem still persist please do let us know.

Vodafone:

Nimbuzz application may NOT work on “Vodafone Live” connection. It will however work on “Vodafone Mobile Connect”. Please call Vodafone call center to know more about Vodafone Mobile Connect settings and associated charges. In the mean while try to use http://wap.nimbuzz.com on Vodafone and let us know if that works.

AirTel:

Let us know if you have problems with Airtel Live connection, wherein you can use the Airtel Mobile Office connection about which you can refer to our earlier Blog Here or you can call AirTel call center to know more about Airtel Mobile Office Connect settings and charges.

Please do let us know in case you have any problem with the operators.

Well, Shahnawaz says that the problem is in network, so being a Java application opera is working in all types of settings including Vodafone Live, Aircel, Airtel, Tata DOCOMO,and instead of going for expensive connection like Vodafone Mobile connect (starting 300 BUCKS minimum), we can able to use it in our PC itself by taking a broadband, well contacting the MICROMAX customer service i ain’t got any information stating this… so guys ask Nimbuzz team to try to get this work on normal GPRS itself…

Q3 does not support EDGE but supports GPRS. Nimbuzz handset application on Q3 should work on “un-restricted” Access Points like “Airtel Mobile Office” or “Vodafone Mobile Connect”. On restricted Access Points like “Airtel Live” and “Vodafone Live” please try to use Nimbuzz directly from your handset browser by logging on to http://wap.nimbuzz.com and let us know of your experience.

For Aircel Pocket Internet users, Nimbuzz Application should now work on both Access Points: “Aircel GPRS” and “Aircel Pocket Internet”. If somebody is still not able to use Nimbuzz handset application from Aircel Pocket Internet please let us know which Aircel Circle you are from.

For any Micromax handset related query you can call the Micromax call centre on the toll free no. 1860-500-8286 for further information.

we can sue micromax as there imei numbers are not registered with govt’s imsa body.. sm your q3 imei number eg IMEI 1234567890123 to 53232 yes to 53232 you will get responce stating invalid imei. and yes u can use aircel gprs by going yo their office in your area and getting ur handset configured then nimbuzz opera and msn will work fine i am using these from 2 weeks and it works fine…

I found a cheaper way to connect Nimbuzz community… all you wanna do is buy a new TATA DOCOMO connection and subscribe fir GPRS and re-write the APN as TATA.DOCOCMO.INTERNET instead of TATA.DOCOMO.DIVEIN.IN…
No monthly rentals 1p/1kb…

You can’t use Vodafone Live to open Nimbuzz.. So please step in to your nearest Vodafone store they can provide you the other setting called Vodafone Mobile Connect which cost 199 bucks minimum…

I used Nimbuzz on my airtel mobile office connection, works breeze, but later found out about a tempting offer from aircel. for some strange reasons i was unable to use nimbuzz on aircel but i did once succesfully connect my 3g handset to my notebook via BT and voila i was surfing on aircel gprs!!!
but since i’m using vodafone for last 12 years, i activated the vodafone live! serive and it friggin doesnt work. its my biggest disappointment with vodafone, i hate this company, they are never satisfied by looting upon customers.
but guys if you’re looking for a cheaper way 2 stay connected i wud suggest you activate airtel’s pay as your surf net service @ 30p/50kb

You can try using Nimbuzz WAP site as it is now working on Aircel Pocket Internet. While the Nimbuzz APP is still NOT working on Aircel Pocket Internet as socket port has NOT been opened as yet.

The right path for solve it is
First
replace any existing Data Account with
1.Services > data account> gprs>(now edit any existing with)Account type:idea internet2 > APN:internet
Then
Services > Wap > settings > select sim> edit account> sim 1 > Add new > idea internet2 > wap.ideafresh.com > data account idea internet>conn.type HTTP

to connect Nimbuzz on Airtel connection..try these steps..

1.call to Airtel customer care to activate gprs(I activated it for Rs30P/50KB),they will activate gprs.

2.goto Fun&Gamens–Java settings-Java Sim1/Sim2 profile- select Airtel gprs.

3.Then Switch off and Switch on your mobile

4.it works..enjoy

@Sharath, To get the Pocket Internet settings, you just have to SMS “WAP” to 121. On sending the SMS, you will receive the confirmation SMS.

APN “aircelgprs” & Select No in use proxy tab. Now you are ready to use all applications.

I ve bought the phone, very nice value for money envy for
others. every thing is working nimbuzz, opera…even I have installed other chat client software. even I have successfully configure my office mail and very easily sending and receiving POP etc. mail.
only two things I would like to comment is the display quality and battery backup… but at Rs.4000 /- u can complete with e 71 ..I am very happy using it and installing extra software….

Hi, i am also using micromax Q3, i can work with opera , msn but nimbuzz is not at all working when i click on N button so first it shows “loading please wait’ and after that screen become orange with N sign andt shows testing your connection…………. but after that it doesnt work i dont thing in micromax there is any kind of facility like nimbuzz……. and if it is then give us a proper solution … u guys r not ready to understand what we r saying anf before this i was using nokia set also but i didnt found any problem…….. solve our problem is you have any ans

sure shahnawaz, i am using vodafone, n i am so sory but may i know what do you mean by “data plan “…….. but i can tell you all services are activated in my no. like gprs…..and im using net through OPERA and MSN, but the only thing is that when i click on N sign it just shows loding and then testing connection and when after an hour i check on my screen still it was showing testing my connection……. i cab visit nimbuzz site through opera and msn only

@ Meena, Thanks for your reply. Data plan lets you connect to internet via mobile phone. Most of the mobile operators just activate the Data plan of WAP Services. You can try Connecting to Nimbuzz through Voda Fone Mobile Connect. You can get the Vodafone Mobile Connect pricing and usage details across India from here

you need wap settings top open Opera and other. .
here are the settings for wap.
Goto
1.Services-wap-settings
2.Edit account-Select SIM which you want
3.Select Airtel Live-Edit Account-
4. Account Name=Airtel Live
5. Home page=http://live.airtelworld.com
6.Data account=airtel Live
7.Connection type=HTTP
8.click on http=use proxy(yes)-
9-Proxy address=100.001.200.099
9.proxy port=8080
finally switch off and switch on your mobile.

and to open Nimbuzz..you need to activate Gprs account so call customer care to activate.
follow these settings..
1.goto Fun&Games
2.Select Java settings
3.select java Sim1/Sim2 profile–select Airtel Gprs
switch off and switch on your mobile

plase help me to get airtel settings, the customer care of airtel says that micromax q3 is china handset has no settings and they dont keep china handset settings, right noe i am using opera, nimbuzz but i cant use wap and can not access the xcell,and word files. as wll as the mobile doesnt run the many applications of some websites which are java enabled.

We have Diff. types of SETTINGS for diff. applications like NIMBUZZ in a GPRS enabled phone…Dont blame the MICROMAX or NIMBUZZ team…THey r doin the amazing work 4 us..HATS OFF…BLAME those Fu***ng Call centre agents in OPerator companies who r not trained enough about these hi-tech things…..search for ur operators setting over net 4 ur ZONE(STATE)specific settings…IT WILL WORK..!!!! try to cycle the settings by changing APN and then try the nimbuzz everytime u change APN..IT WILL WORK BELEAVE ME….!!!

hi i am using micromax q3 from last 5v days and i must say mobile perfect for me. My opera browser and nimbuzz is working working perfectly. I am using MTNL and airtel connections. But for opera and nimbuzz i am using MTNL gprs connection. I read in some post that above mentioned features are not working. If anyone say it do not support gprs, then go to hell. If your gprs is activated then go to the java setting and et the connection preferences. set the gprs setting which will you get from the providers website. And i am 100% sure if gprs is activated it will work no matter what.

This is for All the Micromax user who are trying to connect to Nimbuzz but are facing problems.

Try using the GPRS connection instead of WAP connection to log on to Nimbuzz on the Micromax mobile phone. This connection type is applicable for each and every mobile operator or connection you are using.

You can get the GPRS settings from your Airtel/Vodafone/Aircel/etc. customer care by just asking for GPRS activation.

You can also read our Blog on Airtel GPRS Settings, Vodafone GPRS Settings for more information.

I have Micromax Q3 with Nimbuzz and Opera preinstalled and I have Airtel GPRS on that. It works with WAP but does not recognize the GPRS connection when I launch Nimbuzz / even Opera – both Java applications. Can I get help for making Nimbuzz work on Micromax Q3 and with Airtel GPRS

I have gone through problems reported by various others, it would be better if you can provide solutions and step by step instructions and parameters for all GPRS networks in India

I stay in Bangalore city. Forget about the errors in Mircomax Q3, this particular model is unavailable even at the dealers of Micromax. I tried like hell, but could not even have opportunity to see the dummy model in showrooms. Is it something like the case of any XYZ company that gets the order and manufactures (”,) the product. brothers sisters and countrymen. take a chill pill or use nokia 1100.
micromax is one of the best phone i have come across. as for me in 2 yrs i have changed 36 different phones and now usinfg q3 works cool. i reside at mumbai. now in orissa for holiday trip and my aircel and q3 are great they are still working as i have not visited single cyber cafe and am writing this message from my q3 using opera and am chatting with friends in mumbai using nimbuzz.. be patient and it will work as it has worked for me.. to tell you my aircel store had a man to configure q3 and other chinese phones once i got the settings i wote it on paper and stored with me and it works.. wolah do the same dont ask call centre staff of ur carrier as they are not trained in advance phones yes but your carrier store staff are well trained for it. and once again cheerse for nimbuzz and q3 i love them ..

Am back, Usin’ Nimbuzz in ya’ Q3 is a crappy’ way… Coz’ it doesn’t have a Processor to work it in a better way… If ya’ usin’ Nimbuzz you cant use any other features like call log, text, also ya’ cant able to atten a incoming call also… so instead of this application use Nimbuzz wap which eats less bytes than the jar creature…

@ Rajan. Try using the GPRS connection from your mobile service provider, rather than the WAP connection.

@ Bipin, Firstly, you contact your Idea Customer care and ask them to send you the GPRS settings. Then once you receive the settings on your mobile, save it as default settings. Restart your mobile and then try connecting Nimbuzz.

i cant operate nimbuzz from my Q3,it says testing all the time.i tried all the procedures described here to operate but it is not working. I am trying to connect to the internet and the email services but the message that is displayed is internet connection failed, the same settings are working fine on nokia N72, LG, and Nokia 3210.

From this it is apparently clear that there is nothing wrong in the settings, the phone has some problem.

The settings I am using on the MicromaxQ3 are:
Devices – Data Account -GPRS-created a new setting VMI
•Account/Connection Name: VMI
•Data Bearer: GPRS
•Access Point Name: mail.vodafone.in
•User Name: blank
•Password: blank
•Authentication: normal
•Homepage: http://www.goggle.com

Then went back to WAP settings and created the following settings for VMI

•Network Type: GPRS/GSM
•Phone IP Address: Automatic
•Name Server: Automatic
•Proxy Server Address: 10.10.1.100
•Proxy Port Number: 9401

I have already written to the customer care of Mictomax,akshay@micromaxinfo.com.I have still to get a reply.

I think I have done a blunder by buying the phone cos it seems the company is only interested in selling their products without any care for the grievances of its customers.
If the phone is faulty, that is if it really supports GPRS and mail in practice the they should come forward and replace the set.

hi guys iam using this q3 for 2 months nmow it works fine with aircel pocket internet.
but it has an issue it works only if uart is set to sim 2 and aircel sim used as sim 2 with sim 1 as aircel nothing works except default wap browser.

also i hav problem connecting it to pc for internet it makes a dialer and dials the conn. but net is not connected and the default email client on q3 never works , iahav tried every possible settings. nimbuzz , msn and opera are working fine .

Hi Punit, You just have to select the Nimbuzz icon, and create your Nimbuzz id. After that you will have to select the communities in which you are interested in and then you are ready to connect to your networks. If you already have a Nimbuzz id, you can anyhow login with your phone, and get connected.

Hi Pandian, Once you have logged in to Nimbuzz with your Nimbuzz id, you just have to go to add contacts and select Yahoo. Then you just have to add your Yahoo contacts over there.

yar mere pas mtnl 3g sim or aircel sim dono hai dono k gprs perfect chal rahe hai. or java application nimbuzz or opera bhi mast chal rahe hai. apko karna sirf ye hai k gprs setting mangani hai. agar nahi hai to mannually set kar sakte hai.
isk liye aapne sim first aircel ko choose kiya hai to aircel ki setting hai:-
1. services>data account>gprs
iske bad pahle se bani kisi bhi gprs setting me edit kijie isme
account name:pocket internet
APN:aircelgprs
or sare option khali chor dijie bas aapki aircel gprs setting done ho gyi.
isk bad aap waps WAP option me jaiye waha pe sim 1 select kijie phir wo gprs account select kijie jiski mannual setting aapne upar ki hai. aap us account ki setting ko yaha view bhi kar sakte hai. isk bad aap us account ko activate kar dijie. bas aap yaha se aap koi bhi adress input kijie or aapka wap account work karne lagega. isi tarah agar aapko sim 2 ka APN pata hai to aap waha bhi isi tarah kar sakte hai par use chalane k liye aapko sim 2 select karni paregi
or nimbuzz or operna chalane k liye aapko simply jis sim par bhi gprs activate hai wo sim select karni hai or kuch nahi karna dosto. usk liye aapko FUN & GAMES OPTION ME JANA HAI

@surojit, You will first have to activate BSNL GPRS, select your access point as BSNL GPRS and then connect to Nimbuzz.

at first when i brought my micromax Q3 5 mnths back with my tata docomo sim nimbuzz worked in very good way..

but now due to some virus in my mobi i made restore factory settings option, after doing this in my mobi, nimbuzz is not at all opening simple displaying “testing your connection”….

@ Jai, in order to get Nimbuzz working again you need to use the SmartNET access point and not a WAP access point as Nimbuzz application doesn’t work on the same (see the instructions below).

@Rohit, Please change your settings from Airtel live to Airtel GPRS and you wont have problems in connecting to your contacts via Nimbuzz.

@Paresh, Hi, if using the downloaded version, please check that you have your GPRS access point as Nimbuzz wont work on the live access point.

Also, You must be aware of Tata Teleservice’s ‘Buddy Net’ offer which allows you to use Nimbuzz absolutely free. Currently FREE usage of Nimbuzz service is available only for the wap version of Nimbuzz product on Buddy Net.

@ Asif, As i had asked earlier also, please share as to which access point you are using to connect to Nimbuzz.

If you can’t connect to Nimbuzz servers can be due to some reasons mostly related to your internet connection.

Please check if the internet connection you use doesn’t block socket connections. Currently Nimbuzz application only works via socket and if you use a http connection for example you won’t be able to connect.

Even the Vodafone guys are not able to give me settings. I request to type the settings for VMC. @Justin, Hi Justin. Nimbuzz won’t work on Vodafone live. Please change the settings to Vodafone Mobile Connect (GPRS) and you will be able to enjoy Nimbuzz. Just to add, we have great feedback on Nimbuzz performance on Vodafone GPRS.

I m using Micromax Q3 with aircel connection….i used internet on my mobile 10-15 days and now when i use opera mini or WAP for internet the massage is “GPRS bearer is not available or subscribed”…i have install a lots of time the internet setting from Aircel customer care..but problem is still same….and also nimbuzz and msn and email are not working…. if anybody have any suggestion then plz tell me …

@pravin, you can reinstall the Nimbuzz setup from the Nimbuzz website, and then try connecting to Nimbuzz.

Let us know your feedback on this.

You can also refer to the No more error logging to Nimbuzz!! HTTP fallback now available both on Symbian and JAVA blog post for your reference.

Hey I am using aircel gprs. I am facing same problem with nimbuzz. But opera working fine…So I directly go to my mail services. But I agree that we wont be able to chat.
And One Good Advice to all of u. Pls DO NOT PUBLISH UR MOBILE NOS. These can be misused in many ways. bye.

Hey guys use TATA DOCOMO sim card for the nimbuzz and MSN and OPERA to work.
i’m using micromax Q3 and even snaptu works for me
in TATA DOCOMO use VIRTUAL PROXY as internet settings.

what you need to do is to uninstall and reinstall the Nimbuzz setup from the Nimbuzz website, and then try connecting to Nimbuzz.

Hello All,

I have purchased Micromax Q3 mobile and had similar issue where it was displaying “testing your connection” and then it was failing. When I checked Nimbuzz setting, it was expecting GPRS connection from SIM2, However, I had GPRS connection on SIM1. After changing this setting, I am able to login to Nimbuzz on my micromax mobile. Hope this helps.

I have Purchased micromax Q7 this week, i dont have a account in NIMBUZZ, when i try to create a new account it is telling to insert 5 digit code which is displaying on the screen in a uniquecode box after user name and password,when i try to write code it is taking 0 in a text box instead of code which is displaying on screen,any one help me out how to write that code in a text box

Step 1 : go to services from the menu and then select data account and select gsm data
Step 2 : Select a account and then press edit.
Step 3: type airtel in the account name and leave the next two fields blank.Then come to Line type , select as ISDN and then set speed to 14.2kbps and your primary and secondary adress should read 000.000.000.000. After this press done. then save it.
Step 4: Then press back and select GPRS.
Step 5: there u select any of the listed account and select edit. in the name field type AIRTEL MOBILE OFFICE in caps and type airtelgprs.com in APN. Leave username and password blank and in AUTH.TYPE select normal. Then your primary and secondary adress should read 000.000.000.000. After this press done. then save it.

Step 6: Q3 mobile has inbuilt opera mini browser. so in the main menu select fun and games and select java settings. Now it is very

I am having MicromaxQ5 with Vodafone connection and facing same problem as most of the users are facing.
I cannot open Nimbuzz on my phone it says TESTING YOUR CONNECTION and after that it says “The application is unable to connect at this time. Please try later”.

I have tried to run it with both Network profile “Vodafone Internet” or “Vodafone GPRS” but unable to run.

Kindly let me know what are settings thru which I can open the Nimbuzz? Please let me know the steps and complete settings?
