Nimbuzz easily accessible with Airtel “Mobile Office” plan

airtel-wap-planThere is good news for all Airtel prepaid subscribers! Airtel has just launched a new mobile data plan by the name of “Zero Rental Mobile Office”.

This is a pan-India plan available in all circles of Airtel and will give unrestricted access to the internet from mobiles (and from PC when mobile is used as a modem) at just 30 Paise per 50 kb.

This plan also solves the “Socket Connection” problem experienced by many users using Airtel Live! to access Nimbuzz.

The “No monthly rental” will make this plan an absolute delight for the Pre-Paid users.

There are three different ways to activate this plan:

  1. Just dial *567*1# from your Airtel Prepaid mobile phone and you will receive the settings.
  2. Just SMS AGPRS to 121 for activation.
  3. Call Customer Care / 121 for activation

Enjoy Nimbuzz with this new plan and let us know your feedback.

  12. @ Vikash, Hi there. Please set your access point as GPRS. Nimbuzz will work on it and will help to aggregate all your IMs in one window.

  21. Dear Nimbuzz Support Team,

I have downloaded the latest version today from your website and installed Nimbuzz in my Sony Ericsson W810i.

I am using Airtel Prepaid SIM of Andhra Pradesh Circle and able to connect to Skype from my Mobile, however unable to connect to Nimbizz. Initially it shows “Retrieving available languages…” and then after some time it shows “connection failed”, “Connection attempt to the Nimbuzz server timed out. Please try again”.

    Please help.

    Partha Sarathi July 3rd, 2010
  22. @Partha Sarthi, you just have to check if your access point is selected as GPRS and not WAP/socket connection

    shahnawaz July 4th, 2010
  23. @Shahnawaz, thank you for your reply. It IS in GPRS and not on WAP. Infact Nimbuzz has downloaded the languages and I am able to reach the login interface. But after that it say “Timed out. Failed to connect to the Numbuzz server”

    Partha Sarathi July 4th, 2010
  24. @Partha Sarthi, we will check and get back to you on this, soon

  27. Everybody is asking help from the nimbuzz staff, but i think nimbuzz staff comes here for time pass, they dont help anybody, they just ask questions upon questions and do nothing.since from 2 months nimbuzz is not working on any indian mobile operator and nimbuzz staff is sleeping.i think everybody should migrate to mig33…

    Zaina August 19th, 2010
  28. @Zaina, We really appreciate your concerns and want to inform you that we are working on the same. Meanwhile it would be great if you can connect to Nimbuzz on the GPRS access points rather than the native WAP access points.

In the meanwhile if you can let us know which mobile handset and service provider you are using, it would be really very helpful to check the root cause for the same.
